I'm Kate Silvia, a nature photographer, teacher, mom, and goofball. I have so much fun with my students in the field and in the classroom because I love seeing you make incredible images. It doesn't matter what camera you have, I'll make sure you go home with something you can be proud of. I'll see you in the field!
After you register, you'll get an email from me within a week when I'll provide a meeting location and time, some basic info, and my cell phone for you to contact me the day of the outing.
Let's play with our mobile devices and learn how to make better images with the camera that is always with us. We'll spend about 30 minutes at the end of this photo walk learning about fun apps to add painterly or textured looks to your images to take your photos to the next level. 9-11 a.m. Magnolia Plantation.
Spring is by far the best time to visit Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. We'll explore the best spots in the gardens to take advantage of the light. I spend tons of time here and know just where to go and when. Walk lasts about 2 hours. Admission not included.
Let's photograph these tiny creatures in an environment that will allow us to get close enough for frame-filling images. Cypress Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC. Cypress gardens admission not included. Limited to 6 participants
Let's photograph Botany Bay with the sun setting behind us for a "less photographed" perspective with the boneyard beach bathed in warm, afternoon light. All skill levels welcome. The tide will be coming in but should allow us to stay until 8-8:15.
