Your Instructors

Kate Silvia

Kate Silvia is a professional landscape photographer, digital artist, and educator based in Charleston, South Carolina. Coming from a background in Marine Science, she has a natural appreciation for the environment, and her pursuit of photography was born out of a desire to share that appreciation with others. Kate is a natural teacher, and is often requested to speak at camera clubs and photo organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada. She produces on-line classes covering all aspects of nature photography, and maintains a YouTube channel with photo editing and field technique tutorials. She leads field and classroom workshops throughout the year, and is available for in-person and on- line tutoring and mentoring. It’s all about helping others become better photographers.


Kenny McKeithan

After more than 20 years of experience, he possesses a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share. Kenny is an award-winning photographer whose portfolio includes fashion and glamour images, portraits, and aviation images (He is a pilot). His favorite work is wildlife and nature photography. Kenny is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographer’s Association, and offers outdoor shooting workshops throughout the southeast.


The classroom sessions will be held at TBA.

The Field session will be at Folly Beach or Edisto Beach depending on the conditions. 

You may stay wherever you wish. No block of rooms has been reserved for this workshop.
