Join Kenny McKeithan and Kate Silvia for an adventure in learning and exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina. During this 3 night workshop, we'll visit wondrous waterfalls, capture amazing sunsets, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, and hike along the Appalachian Trail. A visit to breathtaking Grandfather Mountain is included in the price. This is one of our biggest and most popular workshops of the year and it tends to sell out months in advance. We'll be adjusting our schedules a bit and skipping sunrises so we can work on our night photography skills. Photo editing classes will be held early afternoon. This is an intermediate to advanced workshop that will cover some basic as well as complicated post processing in the classroom.
A Block of discounted rooms has been arranged at the Best Western Banner Elk Mountain Lodge.
You may stay anywhere you wish but classes will be held at the host hotel and we will meet there prior to our outings.

Kenny McKeithan
After more than 20 years of experience, he possesses a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share. Kenny is an award-winning photographer whose portfolio includes fashion and glamour images, portraits, and aviation images (He is a pilot). His favorite work is wildlife and nature photography. Kenny is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographer’s Association, and offers outdoor shooting workshops throughout the southeast.

I have a pretty simply philosophy, you learn more if you're having fun! I love teaching photography and I hope you'll join us in the mountains for an amazing few days of creative photography and shooting the night sky.
